Keynsham DEVS travelled South to visit runaway league leader AFC Bournemouth for their last - Part 1 - League fixture.
The game was moved to Bournemouth’s New state of the Art Training Complex and played on a 3G under a Dome.
A great experience for any player!
The game started disastrously from a Keynsham point of view as Bournemouth scored 2 - almost identical - goals inside the first 3 minutes!
NGL - everyone can be forgiven for fearing the worst at this point, but Keynsham dug deep and in time started to even cause their hosts problems.
Zoe and Nicky pinch the ball and sent Maddie on her way down the right to force the Bournemouth keeper into a save.
Keynsham were keep the ball brilliantly - 8 or so passes exchanged and were playing some delightful football, which just seemed to fall down with the final pass.
Bournemouth were still in control, but Keynsham had warmed to their task and stretched Bournemouth a few times.
Bournemouth went close again - but Keynsham are continuing to show some superb combinations.
The pattern remains the same - Keynsham holding firm - with some lovely football just missing the final piece ATM.
Keynsham’s final pass is causing a lot of their own problems - as Bournemouth’s transition is fast and direct - the no. 9 almost gets her hat tick but is denied by a superb Chloe save.
Angel was having a growing influence for keynsham her pass almost gets Jenna in - before a Bournemouth attack almost sees a third goal - Tilly, Milly, Ella & Lily are standing firm - helping to protect Chloe in the Keynsham goal.
There is a moment of Contention - as Nicky puts the ball out for a Bournemouth player to receive treatment - the ball is given back to Keynsham via a rubbish pass and suddenly Bournemouth are on the attack!? - didn’t seem fair at all!
Chloe is forced into two fantastic saves.

Lainey, Ruby & Jess join the action with Ella, Milly & Maddie having a breather.
KEYNSHAM are defending well - as Bournemouth continue to pour forward.
Jessie and Zoe try to lead a charge but Zoe is tripped (tactically in my view)
50 mins - Milly returns as the unfortunate Tilly is feeling the effects of being smashed in the face with the ball.
A combined of Nicky and Chloe block a Bournemouth shot.
55 mins - Bournemouth extend their lead when the no.9 completes her hat-trick? Cutting inside and smashing high past Chloe.
Chloe does well to switch direction and push a deflected effort wide. Before Nicky fantastic block on the line from a corner.
Keynsham are battling so well. Everyone is giving it everything they have!
A lovely touch by Nicky sees Jessie’s glorious pass send Jenna flying down the wing, she lays it back to Lainey - Bournemouth block - but Keynsham win a corner & Bournemouth are a tad fortunate to survive as a clearance spins back into a possy of players - but is hacked clear!
Great defending by Ruby & Milly is matched by Lainey & Lily in the full back positions.
Jess shows great energy forcing Bournemouth back, Angel pinches, but her pass to Jenna is just cut out.
Keynsham with some brilliant defending - several shots blocked in a real melee - before Chloe makes a great save to frustrate Bournemouth.

Zoe leads a good charge - but Bournemouth are able to crowd her out.
Keynsham are continuing to work so hard - Angel and Zoe force a mistake - Maddie tries to find Angel, but Bournemouth again seem to find the luck and cut it out.
Bournemouth hit the inside of the post - after the ball deflected off Milly - before Chloe makes another great save.
84 mins - Zoe HG has run herself into the ground, Nicky returns.
86 mins - 4-0 - Keynsham have shown so much heart, but are now tiring and Bournemouth pinch the ball high up the pitch and the ball is cut back for a player to guide the ball past Chloe.
90 mins - Everyone has given their all - but Bournemouth exploit Keynsham’s tiredness and are finishing strong. A fifth goal is added to add gloss to the score line.
Moments later - Bournemouth are awarded a Penalty - as Ruby trips and falls into the home side player. The Bournemouth Player is arrogant telling Chloe she is gonna SMASH IT INTO YOUR NET before promptly sending the ball 10 yards over the bar for perhaps one of the worst penalties EVER!
